Cats in Our Care
1954 — Present: A Legacy of Compassion
The reasons you should adopt a sanctuary cat.
They come with built-in purr therapy.
There's nothing quite like a warm cat on your lap after a long day. Shelter cats are endlessly affectionate — they know what love means.
They're already litter-trained and lovably lazy.
Most shelter cats are adults who already know the basics. Less training, more cuddling.
They're some of the happiest, most grateful cats you'll ever meet.
Cats who've been given a second chance seem to know it. Their gratitude is unmistakable.
They bring out the best in people — and make great office companions.
Studies show that cat owners have lower stress levels. They're the ultimate coworker.
They often come socialized from years of shelter love.
Our cats have been cared for by staff and volunteers daily. They're used to human attention and affection.
The need is real — they are the ones being left behind.
Millions of cats enter shelters every year. Adopting one means saving a life and making room for another.

“Friends of Cats gave our senior cat the most loving final years. The staff truly cares about every single animal in their care.”
You make this all purrfect.
Many of our cats will live out their lives at the sanctuary. Your monthly sponsorship covers food, medical care, and a comfortable home for a cat who needs it most. Our entire board serves as unpaid volunteers — every dollar goes directly to the cats.
