Friends of Cats, the no-kill cat shelter in El Cajon, hosted their second annual Cinco de Meow fundraising event, bringing the community together for a day of celebration and cat-loving fun.

The event featured a complimentary Mexican food buffet, a cat boutique with themed gifts, shelter tours, and a silent auction with quilts and prizes. Attendees had the opportunity to visit with the shelter's adoptable cats and learn about the organization's mission to provide lifetime care for homeless felines.

Cinco de Meow has quickly become one of the shelter's most popular annual events, raising funds and awareness for the 270+ cats in their care. The event also offered Cinco de Meow themed t-shirts, with 30% of proceeds going directly to the cats.
